TIP:
Extracting Fiber Optic Filament from Cable. |
Imagine
the control you'll have with the Strands of filament sealed in a flexible,
protective jacket! Easily cut into different lengths.
Also very easy to cut back the protective jacket to expose the individual
fiber optic filaments! |
Carefully
cut open one end of the cable with a standard hobby knife.
NOTE: Keep the
cable intact at the other end (near the light source). If you only
extract the amount necessary to use or re-position you will maintain
control of the strands and achieve maximum illumination!
This will
expose the individual fiber optic strands. You can now cut away the
cable cover. Be careful
NOT to cut the filaments you just exposed. |

When you
add a light source to one end, the opposite end becomes illuminated.
VERY SAFE! No
Electricity or heat is transferred thru the Fiber Optic strands. |
