OVERVIEW 2008
 
As we are re-opening and re-tooling our company we're also rebuilding our installer network!

During our last phase of operation (1999~2005) we received many installation requests from visitors to our site.  These are individuals who would like to have a fiber optic star ceiling installed in their homes or place of business.  And while the mission of our site is to show how they can accomplish the installation themselves, these visitors would rather hire someone to install their star ceiling.

Over the years we've had offers to fly out to various locations around the United States for the sole purpose of installing a particular star ceiling.  And while these "all expense paid" offers have been enticing, we have turned them down for various logistic reasons.  We would, however assist these customers in locating a local company that would install their star ceiling.  Most often these installers were "Home Theater Companies" or "Remodeling Contractors" that were looking to add Fiber Optic Star Ceilings to their product line.

We've decided to expand our site and feature a network of Fiber Optic Star Ceiling installers.  These installers are individuals, or companies, who would be interested in installing fiber optic star ceilings close to the location of their business.

Now (2008) we are currently re-building the "Star Ceiling Installers Network" area of our web site.  At this time we are contacting some of our past installers, along with home theater companies and home remodeling contractors.  We would like to know if they would be interested in being a part of this exciting new network! 
  
NOTE: Our Installer Network will cover BOTH the United States AND Canada.
 
INSTALLER BENEFITS  The installers listed on our network will receive several benefits:
  
  QUANTITY DISCOUNTS:  As an installer, you will be able to purchase fiber optic filament and fiber optic illuminators at a discount.  While these are "multiple quantity discounts", the quantities required to obtain the discounts will be VERY reasonable!
   
  INCOME: Installers earn profits both on materials and installation labor charges.  Depending on the type of installation, installers can earn between $50 - $125 per hour.
   
  DIRECT COMMUNICATION:  Our network will be set up by state.  The installers will have their direct contact information listed on our site.  The customers who are looking to have a star ceiling installed will contact the installers directly.  The Fiber Optic Store.com will not be in the middle of this communication.
   
  ADDITIONAL EXPOSURE:  Many of the installers listed on our network have a primary business that is complementary to the installation of Star Ceilings.  For example; companies that specialize in the design and installation of home theaters.  We will allow the installers on our network to have this additional company information included along with a direct link to their web site.  This additional exposure could lead to additional business for these installers.
 
INSTALLER QUALIFICATIONS
  Installers should understand the installation principles of a Fiber Optic Star Ceiling.  While our site guides you through the installation process, prior star ceiling installation experience is a prerequisite BEFORE you contract with a customer.  General installation or remodeling experience would be beneficial.  The installers will be responsible for all aspects of the installation process.  From initial communication, bidding the install, performing the installation, and collection of payment.  Potential customers will be encouraged to ask for references, perform back ground checks and inquire with their local Better Business Bureau prior to contracting for installation work.  (A good practice whenever hiring any type of contract work.)
     
WHAT'S THE CATCH?     IS THERE A CHARGE?
We're assembling this network as a service to our customers.  There is no charge to the installers listed on our network.  That said, we would naturally expect that the installers purchase their fiber optic materials through us.  (Which they will be able to purchase below our standard web site pricing.)  There is no monthly or annual purchase requirement.  Installers can request to be removed from the network at any time.
