The single strand, end glow  filament on this page is the same filament featured elsewhere on our web site.  The fiber on this page is longer lengths and thus spooled on our special project spool.  The Project Spool is designed to help keep the fiber optic filament from becoming tangled during the installation of a Star Ceiling.

The Hobby Spool is for single strand fiber optic filament in smaller lengths. Depending on the diameter, each hobby spool will hold between 50 to 500 feet. Our Project Spool is for single strand fiber in longer lengths. Typically lengths from 500 to 5000 feet will be custom spooled on these protective reels. Our Full Spool option offers the best value per foot.

All of our Single Strand Fiber Optic Filament, with diameters 1.5mm and smaller, will be shipped on machine wound spools for added support.  Your filament order may be shipped on multiple spools. i.e.: 200 feet of 1.0mm filament may be shipped on two 100 foot spools.  No spool will be less than 50 feet.
